Some news I'm genuinely proud to share: Solid Steele KiwiSaver Advice has been named a Top Performer at Platinum tier for KiwiSaver by the Kiwi Adviser Network (KAN) for 2026. Platinum is the network's highest tier.
I want to be upfront about what this award is, what it isn't, and why I think it actually matters to you rather than just being a badge on a website.
What the award recognises
KAN awards its Top Performer tiers based on the number of new KiwiSaver clients an adviser helps in a year:
| Tier | New KiwiSaver clients in the year |
|---|---|
| Bronze | 50 to 99 |
| Silver | 100 to 149 |
| Gold | 150 to 199 |
| Platinum | 200 or more |
So the headline number is volume: 200 or more New Zealanders sitting down with me for the first time in a single year.
The part that matters more than the number
Volume on its own would be a fairly hollow thing to celebrate. Plenty of industries reward people for shifting units, and that is not what good financial advice looks like.
What makes this one worth sharing is the second half of the test. To hold a KAN Performer badge, an adviser has to meet the network's professional and compliance standards as well as the volume threshold. That includes file reviews: KAN goes back through actual client files and checks the quality of the advice given. My most recent reviews met the network's high-quality standards.
In other words, it is not just "Cam saw a lot of people." It is "Cam saw a lot of people, and when an independent party pulled the files and checked the work, the advice held up."
What this means for you
Three practical things:
Experience compounds. Helping 200+ Kiwis a year means I've seen your situation before, whatever it is - the first-home buyer trying to work out a first-home withdrawal, the self-employed person with no employer contributions, the family wondering whether a default fund is quietly costing them.
The advice is checked. Independent file reviews are a genuine external quality control on the advice you receive. That is a reasonable thing to expect from anyone giving you guidance on one of the biggest investments you will ever own.
It still costs you nothing. This does not change the model. KiwiSaver advice from Solid Steele is free to you. I'm paid by the provider you choose, and your fees and returns are not affected by working with an adviser.
Thank you
This one belongs to the 1,300+ Kiwis who have trusted me with their KiwiSaver, and to everyone who has told a friend, a workmate or a family member to come and have a chat. That is how a small independent practice in Christchurch ends up at the top tier of a national network. Thank you.
It sits alongside Trusted Adviser status from Financial Advice New Zealand, which I was awarded in 2025.
