Is my current KiwiSaver fund right for me?
It depends on your goals, timeframe and how you feel about ups and downs in the market. Many Kiwis are in a default or conservative fund without realising it could be costing them. In a free session I’ll review where you are and let you know - honestly - whether it still fits.
How do you choose the right fund and provider?
I look at long-term performance, fees, ethical considerations and other factors to investigate how each provider matches your situation - then explain the options in plain English. Because I work across multiple providers and I’m not owned by a bank or fund manager, the recommendation is about what’s right for you, not any one company.
Are the KiwiSaver sessions free?
Yes. The sessions are free and there is no obligation to act on any recommendation. If you decide to implement a recommendation, how Solid Steele is paid depends on the provider. With most arrangements there is no additional adviser fee charged by Solid Steele; some advised KiwiSaver services include a 0.25% p.a. adviser fee. Is switching providers a hassle?
Not at all. If a change makes sense, the switch usually takes about five minutes and I handle the paperwork with you. Your contributions and balance carry across automatically.
